До Приштини зі Страсбургу приїхала делегація Ради Європи, яка працює у сфері медіа та свободи слова. Приємно було побачити в її складі українку Аліну Татаренко, котра очолює відділ демократичного врядування Генерального директорату з питань демократії та людської гідності Ради Європи. Ми зустрілися в офісі Європейського Союзу в Косові та плідно поспілкувалися.
Гості зацікавилися програмою професійного захисту для журналістів «Резиденція в Косові», яка почала діяти навесні 2022 року одразу після російського вторгнення в Україну. Програму представив голова Asociacioni i Gazetarëve të Kosovës – AGK Асоціації журналістів Косова Джемайль Реджа, друг і надійний партнер українських медійників та медійниць, які живуть і працюють у Приштині. Присутній на зустрічі програмний менеджер Ради Європи Цесаре Пітеа погодився, що аналог косовської програми було б варто запровадити й в інших європейських країнах. Бо, наприклад, у Франції зараз живе багато журналістів з України. Але вони там перебувають у статусі біженців і не мають можливості працювати за фахом.
У той же час, каже Аліна Татаренко, в європейських країнах значно посилився потік російської пропаганди, яка лине звідусіль і серйозно впливає на ставлення до війни в Україні та до самих українців. Тому роботи у журналістів зараз багато, як ніколи.

A delegation of the Council of Europe, which works in the field of media and freedom of speech, came to Pristina from Strasbourg. It was nice to see Ukrainian Alina Tatarenko in its composition, who heads the department of democratic governance of the General Directorate for Democracy and Human Dignity of the Council of Europe. We met at the office of the European Union in Kosovo and had a fruitful conversation.
The guests were interested in the “Residence in Kosovo” professional protection program for journalists, which began to operate in the spring of 2022 immediately after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The program was presented by the head of Asociacioni i Gazetarëve t Kosovës – AGK of the Association of Journalists of Kosovo Dzhemail Reja, a friend and reliable partner of Ukrainian media men and women who live and work in Pristina. Present at the meeting, the program manager of the Council of Europe, Cesare Pitea, agreed that it would be worthwhile to implement an analogue of the Kosovo program in other European countries. Because, for example, many journalists from Ukraine now live in France. But they are there in the status of refugees and do not have the opportunity to work in their profession.
At the same time, says Alina Tatarenko, the flow of Russian propaganda has significantly increased in European countries, which pours in from everywhere and seriously affects the attitude to the war in Ukraine and to the Ukrainians themselves. That is why journalists have more work now than ever.
