16 серпня своє почесне 100-річчя відсвяткував відомий український журнал «Наука і суспільство».
З нагоди цієї дуже поважної дати у Сосницькому літературно-меморіальному музеї Олександра Довженка відбулась зустріч-спілкування з головним редактором цього видання, кандидатом філософських наук, заслуженим працівником культури України, заступником Головного Правління товариства «Знання» України з гуманітарних питань, власником видавництва «Український центр духовної культури», членом Сосницького відділення Чернігівського земляцтва Дмитром Єсипенком.
Дмитро Миколайович розповів про своє друковане дітище. А про журнал він знає все, адже останні 18 років працює над ним: з 2005 року як шеф-редактор; з 2009-го – головний редактор.
Дмитро Єсипенко привіз з собою невеличку, але вже раритетну і тим самим цінну підбірку журналів, які в його архіві є з 1935 року. Він подарував музею і ювілейний номер журналу.
Для забезпечення життєдіяльності журналу Дмитро Миколайович вкладає свої зароблені кошти.
На зустрічі-спілкуванні говорили про те, які питання хвилюють видавців друкованих ЗМІ. Наприклад, були роки коли кількість його читачів сягала 100 тисяч. Сьогодні журнал має значно меншу читацьку аудиторію, завдячуючи розвитку інтернет-простору.
Головний редактор також закликав усіх присутніх долучатися до числа дописувачів журналу.
А присутні побажали журналу витримати всі випробування і, перетнувши рубіж першого 100-річчя, дожити до 200-річного ювілею!

On August 16, the well-known Ukrainian magazine “Science and Society” celebrated its 100th anniversary.
On the occasion of this very important date, a meeting and discussion took place in the Sosnytskyi Literary and Memorial Museum of Oleksandr Dovzhenko with the editor-in-chief of this publication, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine, Deputy of the Main Board of the Society “Knowledge” of Ukraine for humanitarian issues, owner of the publishing house “Ukrainian Center of Spiritual Culture”, member of the Sosnytskyi Branch of the Chernihiv Zemstvo Dmytro Esypenko.
Dmytro Mykolayovych talked about his printed brainchild. And he knows everything about the magazine, because he has been working on it for the past 18 years: since 2005 as the chief editor; since 2009 – chief editor.
Dmytro Yesypenko brought with him a small, but already rare and therefore valuable selection of magazines that have been in his archive since 1935. He presented the museum and the jubilee issue of the magazine.
Dmytro Mykolayovych invests his earned funds to ensure the survival of the magazine.
At the meeting-communication, they talked about what issues concern the publishers of print media. For example, there were years when the number of his readers reached 100 thousand. Today, the magazine has a much smaller readership, thanks to the development of the Internet space.
The editor-in-chief also called on all those present to join the magazine’s contributors.
And those present wished the magazine to withstand all the tests and, having crossed the milestone of the first 100th anniversary, live to the 200th anniversary!
