У роковини загибелі героїв-розвідників молодшого лейтенанта Олега Зайцева та солдата Віталія Ігнатенка в Музеї воєнної розвідки відбулася зустріч з їхніми родинами.
Побратими Олег Зайцев і Віталій Ігнатенко захищали Україну з перших днів російської агресії. Спочатку нарізно – Олег після участі в Революції Гідності пішов боронити Україну у складі добровольчого підрозділу «Правий сектор». Віталій – у бригаді Національної гвардії України та 72-ій бригаді імені Чорних запорожців.
Однак, нестримне бажання хай там як, але звільнити Україну (вони обидва пішли до війська добровольцями, не переймаючись ні званнями, ні посадами) та постійне самовдосконалення і професіоналізм, зрештою, звели воїнів докупи. З початку широкомасштабного вторгнення російських загарбників Олег та Віталій разом виконували надважливі завдання у складі підрозділу спеціального призначення Головного управління розвідки Міністерства оборони України: звільнення Ірпеня, бої за Мощун, операції з відсічі окупантів на Харківщині, звільнення острова Зміїний…
Значення для Сил оборони, та, разом із тим, складність цих операцій важко переоцінити. Адже саме завдяки їхньому успішному виконанню українській армії вдалося звільнити захоплені російськими загарбниками території, а також почати історію витіснення російського флоту з Чорного моря, а відтак, відновлення «зернового коридору», врегулювання продовольчої кризи у Європі та світі.
Саме під час звільнення Зміїного, рівно два роки тому, двоє друзів-побратимів Олег Зайцев і Віталій Ігнатенко віддали життя, прикриваючи своїх. А їхні імена та їх подвиг назавжди закарбовані на сторінках «Книги слави» ГУР МО України.
За видатні особисті заслуги під час відсічі та стримування збройної агресії російських окупантів, мужність та героїзм Олегу Зайцеву та Віталію Ігнатенку надано звання Героїв України та нагороджено орденом «Золота зірка» (посмертно).

On the anniversary of the death of the intelligence heroes junior lieutenant Oleg Zaitsev and soldier Vitaly Ignatenko, a meeting with their families was held at the Museum of Military Intelligence.
Brothers Oleg Zaitsev and Vitaly Ignatenko defended Ukraine from the first days of Russian aggression. At first separately – Oleg, after participating in the Revolution of Dignity, went to defend Ukraine as part of the “Right Sector” volunteer unit. Vitaly is in the brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine and the 72nd brigade named after the Black Zaporozhets.
However, the unstoppable desire to liberate Ukraine (they both went to the army as volunteers, not caring about ranks or positions) and constant self-improvement and professionalism ultimately brought the soldiers together. Since the beginning of the large-scale invasion of the Russian invaders, Oleg and Vitaliy have been performing important tasks together as part of the special purpose unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine: the liberation of Irpen, the battles for Moschun, operations to repel the invaders in the Kharkiv Region, the liberation of Zmiiny Island…
The importance to the Defense Forces, and, at the same time, the complexity of these operations cannot be overestimated. After all, thanks to their successful performance, the Ukrainian army managed to free the territories captured by the Russian invaders, as well as begin the history of the expulsion of the Russian fleet from the Black Sea, and thus, the restoration of the “grain corridor”, the settlement of the food crisis in Europe and the world.
It was during the release of Zmiiny, exactly two years ago, that two friends-brothers Oleg Zaitsev and Vitaly Ignatenko gave their lives, covering their own. And their names and their feat are forever engraved on the pages of the “Book of Glory” of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Oleg Zaitsev and Vitaly Ignatenko were awarded the title of Heroes of Ukraine and were awarded the Order of the Golden Star (posthumously) for outstanding personal merits during the repulse and containment of the armed aggression of the Russian invaders, courage and heroism.
